Quality: MK operates in a fast-moving environment; one of several vehicles for change supporting quality improvement in Milton Keynes. Quality:MK has proven itself as an enabler of system reform, and has brought many benefits.

 

Quality:MK aimed to generate a self-improving system more responsive to the voice of patients and the public, better able to respond to the evidence base of healthcare, and driven by primary care. We have made some progress on that journey. As we enter a critical phase of system reform, we believe that the sum of the experiences gained through Quality:MK will serve the people of Milton Keynes well – as a pool of shared experiences of leading change on which to draw, and common values which have been embedded in the day to day business of NHS Milton Keynes.

 

The learning from the Quality: MK programme has been taken forward into the development of the new Clinical Commissioning Group, anda number of the outputs of the programme - including the Contracting and Commissioning Manual ,  Model of Quality Improvement and IMPACTE toolkit are available via the Milton Keynes CCG website.
